Part 2: Online Virtual Storage Utility
What would you do if something happened to your computer? Say, it caught fire, was stolen, or got drenched in your energy drink while working in those rush jobs. If you were using a good backup solution you could just keep on working, otherwise you could be in a lot of trouble.
Enter Dropbox. Dropbox is a file hosting service which uses cloud computing to enable users to store and share files and folders with others across the Internet using file synchronization.
Dropbox works just like any other folder on your computer, but with a few differences. Any files or folders inside Dropbox will get synchronized to Dropbox's servers and any other computer linked to your account. Green checkmarks will appear on top of your files to let you know that they're synced and up to date. You don’t need to schedule backups, because Dropbox automatically does so as soon as you save a file in your Dropbox and every time there are changes to the files.
You can easily share folders for collaboration, share links to photo galleries and sync across multiple computers. If your clients like to make their own changes on files, or if you work with a team on the same files, then Dropbox will make life easier for you. All of you will always see the latest version of the shared files. Project collaboration will be a breeze.
Dropbox is so easy to use but I have prepared a “HOW TO” to make life a little easier and a lot more fun.
